Kostava Creative: Georgian Sound Evolution

The place you are visiting right now is not just a website or a regular online store. It is the epicenter of an entirely new ecosystem created with one specific, unembellished goal: to shatter stereotypes and make Georgian heritage an integral part of the global audio industry.

For a long time, our unique sound—the sounds that have been stored in our genetic code for centuries—seemed to belong only to the past. We listened to it in archives, museums, or at traditional concerts. But art that does not evolve loses its vitality.

We decided that these sounds should not remain just history. It is time for them to become a creative weapon of the future in the hands of modern creators.

Behind every great product lies an invisible mechanism. In the case of Kostava Creative, this mechanism rests on two completely different yet complementary poles. The company, founded by my brother Joni Kostava and me, is a perfect balance between aesthetics and exact science.

We don't have to argue about ideas for long, because each of us is an uncompromising leader in our respective fields:

•   Technological Foundation: Joni is the systems architect of the project. His supreme competence in coding is the matrix that gives physical sound a stable and powerful life in the digital world. He builds the engine that withstands the most complex loads and operates flawlessly in any leading Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).  

•   Audio-Visual Soul: My mission is for this technology to sound and look flawless. From the processing and sound design of every micro-sample to the ultra-realistic 3D rendering of the UI/UX interface—I create an environment that will inspire the musician the moment they open the plugin on their screen.  

• Creative Synergy: Despite this clear division, our workflow does not recognize rigid boundaries. We constantly intersect in each other's professional spaces. There are moments when Joni directly dives into the aesthetic details of UI/UX design, while I actively intervene in his DSP processing and algorithmic logic. It is exactly this constant diffusion of disciplines that gives birth to the flawless balance you will feel in the final product.

Why Kostava Creative?

When choosing the name, we did not think about marketing tricks. We simply took what places the greatest responsibility upon us.

Our surname carries the history of Merab Kostava—a man and a national hero for whom there was no compromise when it came to freedom and truth. He was an artist, a musician, and a poet. Therefore, any product created under this brand must be of the highest standard. This is not just a company name; it is a promise that whatever we do, we do it perfectly. We have no right to produce a product of average quality.

GSD - The First Flagship: Panduri v1.0

  Our entry into the global market begins with an instrument that represents the perfect resonance of the Georgian character. Panduri is not just another standard 'library'. It is a hybrid audio monster.  

• Microscopic Detailing (Deep Sampling): We captured the soul of the instrument in a specially designed, optimal acoustic space, using a combination of the best modern microphones. Every note, vibration, or string noise is recorded with perfectionism.
• Live Dynamics (Humanize Engine): The main problem with digital instruments is their 'robotic' nature. Our scripts ensure that the instrument breathes. The playing style, power (Velocity), and articulations change just like a live musician.
• Cinematic Transformation: The built-in FX block with its flexible equalizer allows you to adapt the traditional acoustic sound to your musical needs in seconds.

However, Panduri v1.0 is only the first step. In the context of Georgian sounds, our vision entails the digitization of absolutely all traditional instruments, but our ambition is not limited solely to instruments. Our ultimate goal is to capture the crown jewel of our culture in a digital format—unique Georgian polyphony.

Within the framework of this historic project, we will have close communication and collaboration with outstanding Georgian artists; the people who stand in the fire of this brilliant creation and carry its centuries-old energy through their work.

Our goal is for our products to stand alongside those of Native Instruments, Arturia, Waves, and Spitfire Audio not as an alternative, but as a new, mandatory instrument in any producer's arsenal.
